Warriors vs Celtics Game 5 Prop Bet Odds & Pick for Tuesday, June 13 (2022)

Here’s my favorite prop bet for Game 5 of the 2022 NBA Finals.

Klay Thompson OVER 19.5 POINTS | -106 to FanDuel

It might sound contradictory, but I actually think Thompson is hurting the Warriors right now. I’m not saying they’d be better off without him, but they sure would be better off if he played basketball smarter. Curry needs help and it looks like Thompson is desperate to be second gun, which is why I’m playing this pick.

Even though he doesn’t play well, he takes so many hits that I can’t pass up this one. He’s made 17.5 field goal attempts per game since his return, and that number rises to 18 at home and 19.4 at home when he plays over 30 minutes. He’s averaging 37 mpg in his last 10, and the books suggest he won’t get 20 points in nearly 40 minutes on 20 shots and 10 three-point attempts? I’m sorry, I don’t believe it. Warriors will live or die with the three of Steph and Klay, and if Thompson goes down, he’ll go down shooting.

And if he can’t score, I’ll go down with him at least knowing he tried. Good luck, and I predict we’ll be back at Chase Center for the NBA Finals for Game 7.
