The Boston Celtics put their five-game winning streak to the test on Sunday as they take on the Minnesota Timberwolves, winners of seven of their last 10 games heading into this game.
Minnesota is just one game away from the No. 6 seed in the Western Conference, and an upset from Boston would do a lot for Wolves at the end of the season.
Meanwhile, Jayson Tatum and company won nine of 10 to draw within half a game of the No. 1 seed in the East.
Let’s get into the odds for this game via WynnBET:
The Wolves are the best OVER team in the NBA, going 44-31 this season, and that number improves when they’re on the road.
As formidable as Boston’s defense is this season, ranking No. 1 in the NBA in defensive rating, I don’t think the Celtics will completely stop a fast Wolves offense in this game.
Minnesota has 227.5 points in nine of 13 games this month. It should also be noted that the team is No. 7 in offensive rating over the last 10 games.
Additionally, the Celtics have the better offensive rating in the NBA over their last 10 games, which makes me lean towards the OVER on Sunday.
Both of these teams were extremely efficient in scoring the ball, and with Wolves’ penchant for picking up the pace (No. 1 in the NBA), I think we’re getting plenty of possessions and points tonight.
Lean: MORE THAN 227.5 (-110)
