Saints Cardinals’ best ever touchdown bet: DeAndre Hopkins Oct. 20

Cardinals get All-Pro wide receiver back DeAndre Hopkins tonight. Arizona’s offense has been lackluster at best without him, with Kyler Murray posting a meager six touchdown passes and four interceptions. The Cardinals will also be without a star receiver Marquise Brown. That will leave plenty of opportunities for Hopkins to find the end zone, putting him ahead of the Saints-Cardinals touchdown bets at all times.

Touchdown of the Saints-Cardinals at any time: DeAndre Hopkins +125 (FanDuel)

The secondary of the Saints which arrives this evening is a little exhausted. It will be without cornerbacks Marshon Lattimore and PJ Williams. Bradley Roby numbers to line up opposite Hopkins tonight, and Roby has struggled this year. When targeted, he allowed a 77.3 passer rating paired with a horrendous 14.5 yards per reception on 16 receptions allowed. On cover, he ranks 83rd in the NFL on 108 gradeable cornerbacks.

The other corner to possibly face Hopkins is Paulson Adebo, which is even worse. When targeted, Adebo allows a 156 passer rating, 15 yards per reception, and 78.6 percent completion — putting him firmly at the bottom of the corners of coverage.

Without Brown and the Cardinals going in the wrong direction, bet on Hopkins to be the spark the offense needs to get back on track, and look for Murray to feed Hopkins against those low-level cornerbacks at home during prime time.
