Punter receives huge withdrawal offer after £100 bet

We are in mid-May and from Liverpool the dreams of winning the quadruple are still alive.

On Saturday they lifted their second trophy of the season by beating Chelsea on penalties in the FA Cup final. Three months earlier, they won the Carabao Cup in exactly the same way against the same opponents.

Less than 24 hours after their FA Cup triumph, Liverpool’s chances of winning the premier league increased dramatically as Manchester City could only draw 2-2 against West Ham.

Jurgen Klopp’s side know that if they beat Southampton on Tuesday they will enter the final day of the season just one point behind Man City.

The Reds host Wolves next weekend while City take on Aston Villa at home.

Then a week after the end of the Premier League campaign, they travel to Paris to face Real Madrid in the Champions League final.

The odds are still high of Liverpool winning all four trophies, but it’s certainly possible.

If you had offered any Kopite this situation at the start of the season, they would have bitten your hand. After a difficult trophyless campaign last year, they couldn’t have dreamed of such an incredible season so far.

Nobody could have foreseen it.

Or could they…?

We brought you the story of how a Man Utd fan put £100 on Liverpool to win the treble at the start of the season. He would win £100,000 if he arrived.

But a bettor is ready to win much more than that.

The punter put £100 on a Liverpool quadruple in August

At the start of the season in August, an anonymous punter placed £100 on Liverpool winning all four trophies at Betfair.

The returns ? A crazy £367,200.

And after Liverpool’s FA Cup win and Man City’s draw with West Ham, they are now being offered a £22,000 withdrawal.

What would you do?

Keep your cool for a life-changing sum of money or take the £22,000 and run?

They will no doubt sleep over the decision ahead of Liverpool’s game against Southampton. The Reds face a trip south knowing that only a win would keep their hopes of winning the league going. A draw and they would need a massive goal difference on the final day with Villa needing to beat City.

Should Liverpool beat Southampton, that £22,000 offer could well increase even further.

Betfair explained how the withdrawal was once £32.4,000 ahead of Liverpool’s draw with Spurs. It fell to £5.4,000 after City beat Wolves. After the FA Cup win it stood at £9.2,000 but soared to £22,000 after City slipped at West Ham.

Quadruple bet on Liverpool

While we would all love to be in their shoes, we certainly don’t envy the decision they have to make.

Good luck to them !
