Top MLB Prop Picks
Best bet: Semien on 1.5 bases (+105)
Semien hasn’t enjoyed the numbers like he did last season with the Toronto Blue Jays, but we love that he’s producing there.
The Texas second baseman has crossed that mark in consecutive games against the Angels, collecting four hits in that span, including a double and a home run.
We’re also optimistic about his game against Angels starter Reid Detmers. In limited appearances, Semien went 3 for 6 against the southpaw with a triple. That should come as no surprise, considering Semien has done his best work against lefties this season.
The 31-year-old has posted a respectable .262/.333/.456 slash line against left-handers this year, with a batting average nearly 30 points above his mark against right-handers (.233 vs. .262).
Semien has been on a hot streak since the all-star break, so let’s ride with him to continue in tonight’s game.
Key stat: Semien has crossed that mark in seven of his last 11 games.

McClanahan 7.5+ strikeouts (+114): McClanahan has exceeded that total in four of his last six starts, and we expect that to happen today against the Cleveland Guardians. The flamethrower southpaw from Tampa has a completely clean roster against Cleveland, having never faced anyone on the roster.
We think that favors McClanahan, who has the second-best K/9 rate among skilled pitchers (11.78).

Hosmer on 1.5 total goals (+132): Hosmer has crossed that line in three of his last five games, totaling five hits in that span (including one home run). The Padre is 3-9 against Dylan Bundy, who is on the hump for the Minnesota Twins this afternoon.
The soft-throwing right-hander hasn’t been particularly successful lately either. He posted a 6.05 ERA in the month of July and was bombarded for five earned runs over four innings in his last start against the Milwaukee Brewers.
Odds at 12:35 p.m. on 07/31/2022.
