The No. 1A JEEPER (7-2) was ready for the show in its home seven-panel arc last fall, and it stretched, set the tone and found itself half a length behind Cyberknife second time. He rallied to complete the trifecta in the slop on his first start in more than three months at seven furlongs on April 9. He is back in a lane and drilled a Keeneland ball for this April 26. His #1 stable mate Consulat (7-2) has a distance pedigree and is back on earth. His best effort was a show finish in an all-weather route on Jan. 14.

The No. 9 gate runner (6-1) broke last and ran far behind lukewarm fractions during his extended sprint arc on April 3, and he never got involved that day. Todd Pletcher’s $560,000 Arrogate colt is bred to be a good one and deserves another shot. Irad Ortiz Jr. stays put and he’s an excellent road runner.

Assistant Connect No. 7 (7-2) has a nice yardage progression for Brad Cox. He hit the board as a favorite of his last pair and profitable road runner Florent Geroux is winning races with this outfit. It has strong late pace notes and should pull away in the lane.

No. 5 Pioneering Spirit (3-1) rallied for the spot from an outside post in the slop at Keeneland on April 9. Flavien Prat knows him now and this distance is probably within reach.
